I am Sharel Johnson and I am a senior Psychology major and Dance minor at Spelman College. I am 21 years old and I am from Thomaston, Georgia. I have a passion for dance, community service, and for working with people who are impoverished. This is my second year working with Camp Grace. I found out about Camp Grace through my pastor, who is also one of the ministry leaders at Camp Grace. After praying about what I should spend my time doing during the summer, I felt like God would have me to come and serve him through ministering to his children. I wanted to work with Camp Grace in order to use my gifts and testimony to reach out and minister to the children. I was also captured by Pastor Dave’s mission and vision for the camp, and I wanted to get on board with him and the rest of the staff. I am most excited about seeing the returning campers and how much they have grown over this past year. I’m also excited about meeting new campers and seeing how God transforms their lives while at camp. I want God to make me sensitive to the Holy Spirit so that I may be able to help the kids in any way possible. I look forward to God using my gift of dance to minister to the children. Overall, I am excited to see what God will do in their lives as well as mine.
